“IT IS ONLY WITH THE HEART THAT ONE CAN SEE RIGHTLY;
- Antoine de Saint-Exupery
I am a lucky guy! My livelihood is also my passion. From childhood I have employed camera and lens to explore and express my relationship to the world.
As a professional photographer, it has been my privilege and good fortune to work with editors and publishers of some of the world’s top publications including National Geographic, Time Magazine, United Press International, Time-Life Books, US News & World Report, and USA Today. Fine commemorative editions such as The American Society of Media Photographers’ 10,000 Eyes: 150 Years of Photography published my work alongside some of the greatest image makers of our time; Ansel Adams, Richard Avedon, Mary Ellen Mark and others. Especially gratifying is recognition from my peers who have selected my photographs for prestigious showcases like Time/LIFE’s annual “The Year in Pictures” and The Professional Photographers’ Showcase: Journey Into Imagination, (EPCOT Center, Orlando, Fla.) featuring “the world’s outstanding photography.”
My personal work is part of the biography by which I want to be known, a chronicle of my attempt to discover and honor the hidden spiritual essence in all things visible. My best photographs are symbolic of larger concepts: the human spirit in its myriad manifestations longing for connection and recognition.
I hope that my images reflect my core belief; that we are a global community called to provide mutual support in humble service to a greater good.
